Fault Lines are a set of porcelain cones with circular stands. The lines allude to the notion of points of fragility or vulnerability in the earth's surface due to fractures between two blocks of rock. There is also a metaphorical allusion to "fault lines" in the body or psychology as a result of trauma or stress. The word "fault" also implies failure: inadequate, defective. Wheel-thrown, incised drawing, colored slip, clear glaze. All about 2" - 4". Photographed in Joshua Tree State Park, CA
